New Tricks

Today was the all-Seabury softball game - and it turns out that I really like playing softball! I actually hit the ball a few times, and chased a couple out in right field. It wasn't the most stellar performance of the day, but hey, I'd never played before. I also learned why you wear a glove to catch, and why you're supposed to keep your other hand out of the way. My hand is still stinging a bit. Ah well. Anyway, it was such a fun time that we played to nine innings (softball is usually seven I guess), and the weather cooperated. And, of course, Seabury won - always a bonus for my competitive side. And, score another point for the "try it, you might like it" team. They really seem to be winning lately.
